Double beds, Bed frames and bedside cabinets; bedroom furniture in general! These are all essential to the aesthetics of your newly decorated bedroom. So where do you start?
Well first of all what do you go for in a double bed?
Maximised luxurious comfort? Antique? A theme?
It all really depends on your personality and taste, but generally there are certain guidelines that work! Ok you’ve chosen magnolia, a common neutral colour associated with landlords and buy to sell houses. Why not break up the illusion of space with a rich mahogany bed frames and bedside cabinets. A light blend of brown and cream duvets on your double bed, with a light covering of chocolate brown bedspreads and a sleek ashy coffee colour for the pillows! This will tone nicely with your bed head and bedside cabinet! If you want to break it up even more-
accessorise: Buy or commission your local craftmen to make you a beautifully bevelled polished (with bees wax) dark oak coffee table. As browns are a colour signifying strength, root and stability, the sturdiness and visualised weight of the oak coffee table will certainly give off this presence
Quick tip: If you have any recesses or alcoves in your bedroom – try painting them the same colour as your bedspread, pillows & curtains! The frame of the double bed will stand out beautifully. The different block coloured recess will create the illusion of space whilst lavishly showing off a stylish contemporary atmosphere to your bedroom!
